I am so excited to be a part of the newest design studio in downtown Castle Rock, Colorado! I met Jen through the construction of our new home 2 years ago. Jen's husband Ryan was our general contractor and we quickly realized we had the same design aesthetic. Jen has an eye for design and unique details with a modern polished vibe you won't find at a run of the mill hardware or big box store. I love that her store is all encompassing of everything you need to refresh your home. From new lighting, hardware, cabinets, counters, tile, decor and furniture. So next time your in downtown Castle Rock be sure to stop in and check out all she has to offer!

This week I am just wrapping a really fun furniture refinishing project for a clients daughter. She is redoing her bedroom and the colors she has chosen are so fun and unique for a girl! Think lots of mint, teal, navy, hot pink and gold! Here are the room renderings:
Traditionally navy wouldn't be a color popular for a girls room but I think with the pops of contrasting colors it is adorable and modern! Here is one of the nightstands I have completed for it:
Another fun project I worked on this week is a sink vanity! The sink that will be set inside is copper so she wanted a dark charcoal base with copper hardware. I love the mixture of these two finishes. Here is how it turned out:
Lastly I worked on one of my own inventory items. I loved this console table because it was two tier so lots of storage and the French style detailing on the legs is so beautiful. This item is for sale and you can view it here:
Another busy week in the books and I was finally able to work on a set of nightstands I had been eyeing in my inventory since the day I got them! I love mixing neutral colors and these turned out beautifully in gray, walnut and white. I started by sanding and re-staining the tops in walnut. I then custom mixed a gray and painted the bases. I also custom painted some hardware and added some silver glaze to accent the ornate raised details on them. These are up for sale and you can check them out HERE
Another fun project I wrapped up was a custom order dresser. This particular client was having a hard time finding a cabinet large enough to fit in her living room to hold all her sons toys. We decided to remove the bottom drawers so she could add metal baskets that would be easier for him to access his smaller toys. We left the other drawers to hide all his other things likes games and books. The color was a custom mixed gray, don't let the picture fool you as it appears more white! To finish the look the hardware was painted in oil rubbed bronze.
Thanks for looking! -Vanessa

Some of my favorite furniture pieces to do are custom orders for kids rooms and nurseries! I love it because A) it usually involves bold color and B) clients are more inclined to go outside the box and get creative with it! It is so fun for me to be involved in these client projects because I get a peak into their lives. I get to learn about their little ones, come up with a creative design and deliver a truly unique one of a kind piece for their spaces! Here are just a few examples of some of the fun designs I have had the pleasure of doing over the last few years! -Vanessa
